Calculator inputs and browser storage
Calculations run entirely in your browser. Input values are not submitted to Automation Central or stored by this application. Your colour theme preference is saved in local storage on your device; you can remove it by clearing site data. The site has no user accounts, advertising or contact forms.
Hosting and request data
Cloudflare provides hosting and delivery through Cloudflare Pages. To deliver and protect the website, it processes technical request data such as your IP address, requested URL, browser information and access time. The purpose is to make the site available, maintain performance and prevent abuse.
Cloudflare Web Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate visits and website performance. Its browser beacon sends page-view and performance information to Cloudflare. Cloudflare describes this analytics service as cookieless and says it does not use visitor fingerprinting. Technical connection data is involved when contacting its servers. This application does not include calculator inputs in page URLs or analytics events.
Email contact
Messages to contact@automation-central.com are received directly by Zoho Mail, our mailbox provider. Zoho Mail receives and stores the messages so we can read and respond. Processing includes the sender and recipient addresses, message headers, content and any attachments. We use this information to handle your enquiry and related correspondence.
Service providers and processors
We use Cloudflare as a processor for website hosting and analytics, and Zoho Mail as a processor for our contact mailbox. These providers process data on our behalf to deliver those services, with their associated service providers. Where they process data for their own purposes, such as account security or legal obligations, their own privacy notices apply. Their privacy information is linked below.
Retention
We retain correspondence for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and any related follow-up, legal obligations or claims, then delete it when it is no longer needed. Technical logs, analytics records and backup copies follow the applicable service retention and deletion arrangements. Calculator inputs are not retained by this site. The colour theme preference remains on your device until you change it or clear site data.
Processing outside Switzerland
Our Zoho Mail account uses the EU region. Cloudflare and Zoho nevertheless operate internationally, so data can be processed outside Switzerland and the EU. Their published privacy notices describe processing in the United States, the European Economic Area and other countries where they operate. Processing locations depend on the service and account configuration. Their notices describe safeguards for international transfers, including contractual safeguards where applicable. An EU mailbox region does not mean that all support or other provider processing takes place exclusively in the EU.
Your rights
Under applicable Swiss data protection law, you may request information about the processing of your personal data, request correction or deletion, request the delivery or transfer of your data (data portability), and object to processing, subject to the applicable legal conditions. Contact the operator above to exercise your rights. You may also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC). If you are in the EU/EEA and the GDPR applies to our processing, you also have the corresponding GDPR rights, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection, withdrawal of consent where processing relies on it, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
